INSPECTIONS: Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI): Goods are inspected before they leave the factory, but after they are packed for export. Random samples are selected according to standards and checked against customer specifications/sampling levels.
Reference Samples: Should be sent to our local international headquarters locations nearest to the factory address. Approved signed off samples at the factory are also acceptable and can help speed up completion of our services.
During Production Inspection (DUPRO): Goods are inspected within the manufacturing process on the production floor. Sometimes occurring after an initial production check to ensure and follow up on recommendations given, as well as to check processes, specifications, packaging, pack and labels.
Initial Production Check (IPC): Goods are inspected at production start up to check for defects or problems in the process, the components, the materials, packaging and overall product quality compared against customers reference sample and specifications.
Container Loading Checks (CLC): Goods are checked for quality, quantity, product and packaging specifications prior to loading into container. Inspector monitors loading process checking containers and ensuring goods are loaded according to customer specifications. Container loading checks can be carried out at the factory, warehouse, forwarder/trading company warehouse or at consolidation and centralized shipping locations.

AUDITS:
Factory Audits/Assessments: Referencing ISO standards/customer specified requirements the auditor will asses the factory for all phases of capability regarding the ability to produce customers products. All important criteria are checked including equipment condition, quality systems & procedures, working conditions, production capability/capacity, staffing, products made, ownership, etc. An audit report & opinion listing strengths & weaknesses will be issued to help customers select high quality vendors.
Social Accountability Audits (SA8000): Factories are assessed against a list of nine standards (child labor, forced labor, health & safety, freedom of association, discrimination, etc.) as well as customer specified requirements to ensure fair & ethical production of goods. The social audit addresses customer concerns regarding human rights in the workplace. It is a detailed assessment identifying local practices that may not conform to the global SA8000 ethical standards and/or the customers own internal standards regarding the treatment of workers.
C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism): Audit to check for the development / implementation of (enhanced) security procedures. Check that written security procedures are in place addressing various issues including: Physical Security, Access Controls, Procedural Security, Personnel Security, Education and Training Awareness, Documentation Processing, Manifest Procedures and Conveyance Security.
RoHS (Restriction of the use of Certain Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment): Check for awareness of directive, written policies, restriction and/or presence of the following substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). Check for markings, notification and disclosure as to the presence of these substances.
TESTING:
If certifications and/or testing are required, we can manage these requirements through our association with local independent laboratories. Products, components & raw materials at times can require certification to conform to industry standards. The laboratory or test center is chosen based on variables including type of certificate required, lead time and price (Electrical Safety, EMC, RoHS, CE, EN71, etc.).
